SUBMARINE ENERGY SYSTEM :
The most common applications of submarine cables in power cables in power transmission and distribution systems are: electrical feeding of island from the mainland or a major island of an archipelago, interconnection between HV networks for possible transfer of electrical power in both directions, transfer of cheap power generated on natural or artficial island to the mainland, crossing of sea inlets and rivers, connection to or between offshore oil production facilities and transmission of power from renewable offshore sources.
SUBMARINE CABLES SYSTEM :
Connection to or between offshore oil production facilities is one of the most common applications of submarine cable systems. Prysmian is the acknowledeged world leader – both in terms of market share and technical know – how – in the submarine systems field.
Urethane products corporation is in the leafing edge of fendering technology and innovation. Our lines of Marine CushionTM foam-filled fenders utilize state-of-the-art materials and processes, which are unurpassed in the industry.
Foam-filled fenders are able to absorb 40% more energy than similiar sized pneumatic fenders and their gently sloping reaction force curve provides 'softer' doscking operations to buckling type fendering systems. This results in reduced stresses on docks, wharves, piers and vessels.
Today's vessels demand the absolute bests protection for berthing operations. It is Urethane Products Corporation that is entrusted more and more each day to guard marine invesments worldwide with our 'made-to-fit' foam-filled febdering systems.
Features and advantages :
High energy absorption and low reaction force
Conforms to hull protrusions
Tough, nylon filament reinforced polyurethane skin
Remains fully funcional even if skin is punctured
Low Maintenance
Easy installation
The fender body is covered by a chain net, wire net or fiber net. Chain nets are able to withstand corrosion longer and are usually built with used tyres and rubber sleeves to provide additional protection. Fiber nets use only rubber sleeves. Wire nets are light and more easily repaired.
